Moving to the Country
For many people, moving can be a really big adjustment - from a familiar place to an unfamiliar one where you seem to need to start all over again for you achieve that familiarity you had in your old home and the community it belonged to. For many people though, the move and the transition phase can become much more difficult and the need for adjustment more drastic when the move is from the city to the country. The lifestyles and pace if life are so different, which makes it much more difficult for new movers to come to terms with their new way of life. However, getting used to rural life isn't such a difficult thing, if you consider the advantages. First off, there is an undeniable feeling of a much more relaxed atmosphere in the country than it is in the city. Numerous studies have shown that stress can cause a number of health ailments, and the move and the lifestyle and the country can be just the thing to help keep your stress levels down. Another advantage is the relatively cheaper cost of living, as living in the country is generally considered to cost less - goods, mortgages, etcetera - the fees can be much lower and you can also enjoy added savings or funds you can divert to other pursuits.
